About

HELLO!

A BIT ABOUT ME...

I am a Geological Science Researcher in the School of Earth & Space Exploration at Arizona State University. My career has taken me from Detroit, Michigan, to Fairbanks, Alaska, and now to the desert valley of Arizona. As a self-proclaimed "space rock geologist" my main research uses meteorites to constrain the impact history of our solar system. I also work with petrology melting models and stellar abundance data to predict the likely mineralogy of nearby exoplanets. Combined with my personal research I'm also expanding my science and space policy background with the goal of building and supporting public engagement in science and space missions decision making

Where I've been...

I received my BS at Wayne State University on the stolen, indigenous land named Waawiiyaatanong by the Anishinaabe. Including the Three Fires Council of Ojibwe (Chippewa), Odawa (Ottawa), and Bodewatomi (Potawatomi) peoples I honor and give thanks for their past, present, and future stewardship of those lands and waters, and stand in solidarity with native people throughout the Anishinaabe and Wyandot diasporas.

Arizona State University is located on the unceded,  ancestral territories of  the Akimel O’odham (Pima) and Pee Posh (Maricopa) Indian Communities, whose care and keeping of these lands allows me to be here today. I accept the responsibility to honor this land and to support my indigenous neighbors.
