Space Policy

Hello

Space exploration should be for everyone!

While we can't all be astronauts, I'm passionate about building policy solutions that open the doors for everyone to have access to space activities/research. This starts by including more voices from different walks of life when we discuss the future of space science and exploration. Everyone should have a seat at the table.

I'm interested in building policy solutions to...

  • Fostering sustainable access to space by giving young students science engagement opportunities.

  • Creating equity in space activities, by supporting new and diverse cohorts of researchers.

  • Having open community discussions about the ethics and future of space activities

Equity in Academia

I've been lucky to work on several equity-focused projects throughout graduate school. This work has shaped my career aspirations and I will continue to commit my time to making my workplace equitable, inclusive, and diverse.

Sustainable Change at Every Level of Academia

About Us

1. We need a two-sided approach

Institutions that focus solely on top-down policy change don’t see lasting positive reform

2. We need explicit and broad intent for all community members

Initial intent (drive) for change needs to be focused on benefiting all community members, and that intent need to be shared as explicitly as possible

3. We need consistency of progress

Institutions that build multi-year plans and safeguards to monitor progress over time see more longevity in their policy changes.

With combined top-down and bottom-up solutions, EVERYONE is empowered to be a change maker
